Death Proof
As painful as it is for me to give a Tarantino movie BELOW a 4/5, it has to be done. I will admit watching Death Proof was definitely an interesting watch, but there wasn't really any story line. Something that I am still trying to understand, is why Stuntman Mike, played by Kurt Russel, gave Pam a ride instead of insisting on taking Arlene, as we were led to believe he was trying to find her the whole entire time. The first part really seemed pointless to me, and the only thing we really got out of it was Tarantino's great dialogue, and a little bit a an idea of who Stuntman Mike is as a character. Although the first part was not very enjoyable and didn't really add much to the story, I did enjoy the second part. Following these 4 girls with their Australian friend, real life Zoe Bell, as they are on a mission to test-drive a "Vanishing Point" '71 Challenger. The four girls are extremely funny and likable, partnered with Tarantino's dialogue, and bring the movie back to a better place. I think all in all I am happy I watched the finish Tarantino's filmography, but it is second to last on my ranking of his films.
