Maleficent

The kingdom was saved by someone who was both hero and villain. Unbelievably beautiful film, never fell into the boring clichés of its original story. It feels like an adventure every single time I re-watch it. The actors play their roles so well that I truly believe those characters are real. They must be. Especially Maleficent, my dear, she is a beautiful beautiful person with a pure heart that was so deep in her desire for revenge that she almost lost her favourite person forever. A daughter who she always cared for, even when her heart was filled with poison. And she made it right in the end, because she was sensitive and loving. Maleficent is such an inspiration to me. Ohh and I can’t even mention the incredible music and the world’s design. If only Disney looked at this live action adaptation to lead them into their newest films…
