WOW!!! You’re telling me THIS was the movie that Resident Evil fans were hating on? What a feast of a movie, an absolutely bonkers film that isn’t afraid to be out there. Resident Evil has some of the most innovative horror filmmaking this year, successfully mixing game elements and implementing them in a unique and scary way. Genuinely the BEST way to adapt a movie. THINK OF A PREMISE AND DO IT WITHOUT JINGLING KEYS TO A FANBASE. In a nutshell, this movie is Zach Cregger’s OC/self insert character in Raccoon City. And it WORKS. All gas no breaks, danger in every corner, amazing camerawork and cinematography, an absolutely terrifying score, and Austin Abrams: what a treasure! Cast him in more films ASAP. This might be at least my second or third favourite horror film of the year. Resident Evil fans should be ashamed for their bad word of mouth.

This movie isn't real. But its quite nice ig.

How can a film be so charming yet so boring? Nicole Kidman given nothing to do. All that the older sisters do is run around. Just another excuse to make another legacy sequel just for the sake of it. Why was this movie 130 minutes? Longest final act and conclusion ever despite some charm and fun to be had, but that fun is so limited and hard to find. Seriously, who asked for this? Practical Magic 2 and Super Troopers 3 fighting to see which legacy sequel is the most redundant.

The John Cena and Tweety scene is the best scene of the year. Genuinely.
