Billy Elliot

This is exactly what I love about film. This is so so so powerful, still today, and so so so much more powerful at the time it was made. This is a masterpiece, a piece of art and a historic piece. I believe that this film has changed thousands of lives over the past 25 years and will continue to do so in the future. And I absolutely love the shots, the cinematography is amazing, the colors look so good and the acting is insane. I also really love how they choose to put in only a little time period, most other films with a bit of the same context show a long period of time or someone’s whole life. But because this film showed so little of time it really focused so deeply on it, it got you deep into it and all the feelings involved. This is a true piece of cinema, a true masterpiece.
