Barbie
what a stunning piece of art. the unspoken connection i felt with every woman in that theater tonight was magic. I was seated next to a younger girl and I couldn’t help reflect on my journey as a woman. it’s upsetting how many awful experiences are mutually understood between women just simply for being a woman. the toy barbie revolutionized the idea that a woman could have that dream career. that a woman could own that dream house all herself! these fantasies have helped raise my mother and my mothers mother and me alike. we need to fight to have a world that melds the barbie’s and the kens. both equally as seen and loved! i sobbed i laughed i loved. so grateful to have been raised by a woman! and to be watching this with her! we all are just trying to figure out what we were made for. the monologue! the montage! i was utterly overflowing with emotions. the cast did a phenomenal job. also alan is quite possibly the man of my dreams <3
