Damien Chazelle would end it with that shot

Admittedly, I would watch a ten hour livestream of Ryan Gosling sitting around reading the newspaper. There is such a charisma and charm that he brings to every role he plays. I adore watching him on screen. This movie is no different. Every second Gosling is on screen you are pulled to him and this is not an easy feat, especially in a film where, for the majority of it, he is not interacting with other humans. I am not the biggest sci-fi fan but even I had my hands to my face captivated by what was happening and hoping that everything would work out for Ryland Grace. I thought the cinematography was beautiful. The colors and the score together created something insane. I appreciate whole-heartedly their commitment to not using CGI in this film and having Rocky be a puppet because it enhanced this film in every way. I don't think this would have worked otherwise. I have to come back to Gosling again because his performance in this was immaculate. The way he is so casually hilarious and then can have you crying alongside him in the next scene is crazy. I felt so many emotions watching this film and overall thought it was beautiful. This will not only be one of my top films this year but one of my top films of all time.
