Erin Brockovich
Such a good movie.
Julia Roberts is so captivating as Erin Brockovich, based on the real story of Brockovich leading a lawsuit against gas company PG&E leaking hexavalent chromium in the water of residents at Hinkley. Julia just has that fire, the witty comebacks, the people skills, all of it makes a very compelling character to watch. Her monologue about memorizing all 634 plaintiff’s phone numbers is inspiring.
Albert Finney as Erin’s boss, attorney Ed Masry, is also really great. A good mix of caring, funny, and hard working. He also embodies the role and it just feels so real/authentic.
This movie definitely feels has an elevated, more impactful Legally Blonde feel to it. Very good.
