As a whole it’s a solid movie. There are times where individuals performances shine through and the cgi matches creating scenes of beauty. There are times of Jason mamoa being on my screen instead of lobo or cgi that took me out of the story. But all in all the highs outweigh the lows. I liked the in depth exploration into Kara’s background. She a good character and I hope she is properly utilized in the future.

I went into this not knowing a thing about the story of the odyssey. Without that knowledge I left the theatre in amaze for the film I had just watched was a masterpiece. The sounds, the sights, and the story were amazing. Matt Damon gives the performance of a lifetime. His portrayal of grief in the face of determination was Oscar worthy. As well not to be outdone Anne Hathaway gives the best performance I have ever seen out of her. Emotion filled and heart wrenching. Lupita Nyong'o Is so talented. The range she gives in such little screen time is mesmerizing. Robert Pattinson is so easy to hate in so doing his job perfectly. This film was fucking amazing
