roomie traumatization SUCCESSFUL!!!!
i loved the shit out of this movie ever since i saw it in high school and after rewatching it in full for the first time (ive only really just rewatched specific clips of it over and over), i'm glad that love is still there. there's plenty of really good reviews and videos that break apart this movie and notice all the cinematography and interwoven themes of morality and truth that are, without a doubt, incredibly well done. i just couldn't really say anything other than "shit's FUCKED!!!"
its one of, if not, the first movie ive ever seen in my life that was batshit unhinged from the get go, from its iconic fighting to its tendency to force you to watch the most brutal thing ever. its a total emotional rollercoaster the whole way, always leaving you wondering and reacting, but never having enough time to piece anything together before the next thing hits you, but never too fast that it completely loses you. despite everything the characters go through, and despite everything they do (lots of "what the fuck did they mean by this"'s from my roomies), you can't help but still feel for their struggle to live. god i hope no one RELATES to it, but can at least sympathize with it.
