Wolf Children
SENDING 10 THOUSAND MISSILES TO MY EXACT LOCATION TO FINALLY END MY OWN LIFE
think i saw this when i was in like, 7th or 8th grade? made me sob like a little bitch, andalsomightvebeenmyfurryawakening, so i never really wanted to revisit it for a long time. recently i started thinking about it again, and i also saw another movie featuring wolves, so i thought fuck it it's now or never right
still as endearing as ever!!! i hope my roommates didn't hear me, cause i was yelling like i was watching it for the first time. i remembered why i loved Wolf Children in the first place despite not having touched it in so long: the intricate details of the animals and environment around them, to the struggle of growing up and fitting in, to the burning love of a mother that strives people to find themselves. ill ADMIT i might've felt some cheesiness in one or two moments sprinkled somewhere, but in the end i still resonated with this so goddamn much that it's perfect in my eyes anyway. it's already a huge feat to turn a simple monster premise into an incredible family story. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT
