godDAMMIT knowing that even now, the zodiac killer still hasn't been completely figured out, seeing this movie NOW is so terrifying yet still riveting, how everything spirals into a convoluted mess of names, dates, and typos, until you realize that none of this shit matters anymore. it's been too long. david fincher has the usual banger fast-paced style, and the cast go so hard in every line of their dialogue, but i love how the movie kinda turns on itself as it keeps going. no matter how hard you try, there are things that will always be thought about and will never be resolved. like a firework exploding into the sky, leaving nothing behind but lingering smoke for the rest of the night. here have this relevant tone-changing meme that i love
