Interstellar
“Love is the one thing we're capable of perceiving that transcends dimensions of time and space.”
Interstellar is a breathtaking, terrifying, devastating showcase of the dichotomy between the beauty and the horror of space, and by extension, life and death. The metaphors for the wasting of time are crippling, and the set pieces, travelling through the wormhole, the waves, all of the video messages, docking on The Endurance, the inside of the black hole, are phenomenal. The acting is impeccable, the cinematography is astounding and the score is undoubtedly one of the best of all time. This film had a real emotional impact on me, and it is my favourite Nolan.
