This movie feels like the rich get richer, the main appeal is the full imax filming but if you don’t have the luxury of an imax theater you just get the issues that come with filming in imax. The editing in this all throughout the first two hours and 20 min was horrible because filming with these cameras is so limiting. I felt like I was still watching the trailers in the previews rather than the actual film because of the weird editing/ rapid cuts and the soundtrack that never stops+ the narrating. Obviously it’s still Nolan, the action scenes are incredible, the cyclops scene and the raid of Troy are both phenomenal sequences, this along with the final half hour gives it a 3 1/2. But because there’s so much good stuff in these few action scenes it makes all the story bits in between them feel like pure exposition and intermissions. Not bad per se but it pales in comparison to the good stuff. Cast is great but Pattinson shined through.
