the acting and visuals really do it for this movie. paul mescal can also do no wrong
anxiously awaiting part 2 and the rest of the soundtrack. loved seeing one of my favorite musicals come to life
this film would be nothing without its original counterpart. surprisingly wonderfully executed

obsessed with james mangold, timothee, and ed norton. wonderful

the storyline was encapsulating, though i know multiple movies came out with a similar plot. because i haven’t see the others (yet), i obviously can’t speak to how it compares
hot take, i know. if todd phillips fully committed to making this a musical, it would have worked so much better, but i really didn’t mind this, and i have been thinking about the final sequence in the film since i saw it.
first one was scarier, but the plot was more comprehensible in this film as opposed to the first
definitely DIFFERENT from other zombie movies, but it was kind of slow and dragged out. the ending was good, kind of haunting.
unlike other horror films, and the beginning had me very freaked out. i was left slightly unsatisfied with the conclusion of it all.
interesting storyline, but if i watch a horror film, i expect to be scared. this was not scary to me
honestly disappointed having been obsessed with the original as a child
worst in the franchise, but i like familiarity over what’s ranked lower than this film.

i didn’t like anything in this except caleb hearon’s character arc.

PR for this movie did not help my ranking, because i saw it long after the drama surrounding blake lively and justin baldoni. it was not done well, music sucked, and i was audibly LAUGHING when it is such a serious subject matter that should not be laughed about.
after hearing so much praise for this movie, i was SO excited to watch it. i know not many agree and would put this near the top of their lists, but i was not impressed by it at all. i didn’t get the same depth that others seemed to have gotten from it.
m. night shyamalan did me dirty with this movie. with his other films like the village, the sixth sense, or the visit, there was some SHOCK factor that this movie did not deliver. so disappointed by it.
