watched this on a hella retro analog box tv with terrible reception at my grandfather's during the 2nd day of chinese new year. led to a whole night's worth of inside jokes between my cousin, my brother and i
watched this the year my friends and i turned 16. except fiona's birthday hadn't passed yet and she was scared to sneak into the movie by herself. i bought tickets to nezha with her and we snuck in together
watched this with yanisa for shits n giggles. shat and giggled. $7 well wasted. now i gotta spend $700 to fly to la if we want to do such things
watched this together with my family huddled on a small red sofa in the dark confines of my parents' room on a tiny computer monitor. made a point to catch the whole hobbit trilogy at the theatres together
my whole family was gathered in a tiny hospital room a day after my brother's surgery and not many good options were playing on the tv. this was the final choice that we settled on, and that night as we screamed and laughed over the absurdity which was this film, for a short 2 hours or so my brother's wound didn't hurt as much, my mom a little less angry and my dad a glimmer of his boyhood self; life didn't feel so heavy. can barely remember the last time we watched show together like that, ahh the good old pre-cable tv historic times. shit movie, cute memory.
watched this with my girls over zoom during covid. no matter how divergent our paths may be, i will forever be thankful we were girls together
yea um got flaked on by a guy i liked (and didn't like me back) for a call with his situationship who he broke up with a week later and got back together again just to break up again, so i went to watch this by myself (we're friends now so i can say fuck you zac). i'd even brought my cute new pink cat tissue pack. cried most of the film being angry, cried after the film being sad. 5 stars though what a way to experience my virgin solo movie
my brother and i walked out of our room one night after being tucked in to bed, to my parents watching this on the tv in the dark living room. i climbed onto the sofa, laid my head on my mom's lap and asked her what the movie was about as she teared up at slipping through my fingers. i'm going to play this song at my wedding for her.
absolute all time favorite barbie movie. i remembered being liana to my cousin's alexa when we met up for chinese new year, dancing around my grandfather's bedroom while the adults were doing their adult things downstairs. i think i made my brother be the dog sorry bro
watched this with weini and crying over rainbow singing monsters was definitely what cemented our friendship
