NopeJustin Side9.8· August 29, 2022Followuhmmmm what do i say.... there's surely a wholeass spectrum of tragedies present in here - from disappointment to trauma which are all represented differently while still boiling down to the common desire of proving something. out of all, jupe's struck me the hardest. having to survive gordy unscathed as he lashed out definitely left him agonized that he kept reliving it may it be through his alien merch that looked closely similar to the cameras on set the night gordy maimed everyone or even him putting up the star lasso experience. this goes to tell how our coping mechanisms can be just as complex and unpredictable as jupe dealing with the childhood trauma by profiting out of it in the form of an amusement park. if we look into his character, jupe is actually so composed for someone who has gone through such thing that the closest you can tell is when he spaces out but in reality, every bit of what he has shown in the movie all hints to that memory. id like to think what happened developed a thinking in him that he tamed gordy hence him surviving, however, he couldnt really justify it either as the chimpanzee was then taken out by a bullet. so upon discovering jean jacket, he knew he had to do something to prove and appease that question. he then kept feeding it horses from the ranch. and just when he thought he was ready to show everyone through jean jacket what nobody witnessed that night gordy went wild, he got sucked up like everyone else at the show did - leaving jupiter's claim abandoned in chaos but also answered. jordan peele king.CommentsSign in to react and join the conversation.Sign inGet the app
