The Wailing

The Wailing is a remarkably brilliant horror film with some fantastic editing and direction. Easily the best part of this film is how it never explains the horror. You are as clueless as the main character and it never changes. The film grabs your sympathies as we can all imagine a situation where something is affecting a loved one and yet we can do nothing about it. It’s terrifying and this film does an excellent job of drawing at that fear. This film also has some great editing that always keeps you guessing as to the mystery of the film. In turn, the direction is fantastic at keeping you in the dark and always guessing. The Wailing possibly is one of the only films that’s confusing on purpose and also excellent. The film is a master at making you doubt everything and everyone and is absolutely worth watching.
