Swashbuckling movies are one of my favorite adventure subgenres. I adore this one & hope to watch it with you soon.
Most people have had this movie spoiled for them & it's probs bc it's such a classic. If it hasn't been ruined for you, give it a try. I think you'll like it. (It'll still be enjoyable regardless, but it really is best if you go in completely blind for this one.)
I've said it before & I'll say it again. Can't wait for you guys to get on board this emotional rollercoaster of a journey. Because It. Gets. Crazy.
Just cause ik we've sort of had a horror movie streak going. Think of this as the representative of any & all other horror movies we may see together.
Another horror slasher. Kind of like Scream, though Scream doesn't take itself too seriously.
If there's one movie on here that'll devastate me on the off chance you won't like it, it's probably this one. But it might be up your alley. We'll see. Carpe Diem.
A normal guy dreaming about adventure and desiring something more out of his mundane life. I related so much to him, & you might too. + the cinematography in this film was gorgeous.
Classic Tim Burton film. Little bit of fun, little bit of spooky. (Yes I do believe there's a difference between spooky & horror. Personally, this feels more spooky to me but you can find out on your terms.)
You know how I said it'd break me if you ended up disliking Dead Poets Society? I think this one would hurt more.
I don't recommend eating anything while watching this film if you have a sensitive stomach. That being said, it might be a hit or miss for you. It's not scary but it's kind of gross...I liked it lol.
Idk if you've seen this one either. Imo (correct me if I'm wrong), this doesn't seem like a film you'd typically go for, but it's another fun classic. I can picture you enjoying it.
Romcom-esque. It's one of those storylines where it focuses on multiple people whose lives are all intertwined.
This one would probably be included in my Top 10 Films of All Time. I won't elaborate.
Never seen it, but it is quite beloved amongst the people & it seems like something you'd enjoy.
I'm pretty sure this is one of my mom's favorite movies lmao. I don't blame her. It's really good.
My favorite Audrey Hepburn film. And it has my man Gregory Peck. If you want something cute, sweet, & innocent, this is a strong contender.
I like the concept of this one. And it takes place in Italy. R o m a n t i c .
This one's been sitting on my watchlist for so long I wouldn’t be surprised if it's collected dust by now.
I needed to throw in a John Hughes 80s classic in here somewhere.
This one touches upon themes like grief, while also maintaining its lighthearted nature. Give it a go.
You may or may not have already seen these but they're short, sweet, & a fun holiday watch.
Ok, I'm not sure how you'll like this one bc I'm biased & adore old movies, but I recently watched this & had a lot of fun. It's a musical comedy with a dash of romance for both main characters (played by Gene Kelly & Frank Sinatra). Movie was silly but sometimes... that's all you really need.
So I remember lowkey crushing on this guy when I saw him in Casper & now I'm crushing on him all over again with this movie. This man had me kicking my feet back & forth smh. Please do yourself a favor & watch this. Like yesterday.
Ok this one gets a lot of mixed reviews, but I like it. And I'm not a big Nicholas Sparks fan so that's saying something. You guys will probably like this one too. It's cute.
Ok so I'm a sucker for anything with dance. That's old news. Moving on : this is a classic "mentor-comes-along-and-inspires-students-to-be-better" type of movie. But with dance incorporated into it. If there's one craft I've always appreciated, it's the art of dance. I'm fascinated by it, & I truly would've been interested in signing up for it.
