Been going through the gauntlet in preparation for Evil Dead Burn.  Probably not the best move to have gone from Army of Darkness to this, but we ball. Honestly the first 30 minutes or so I was a little scared this was just a dark reboot (I mean I kinda is), but as the movie went on it kinda became its own with how much gore there was. Made me feel uncomfortable which I guess means it worked. What really saved it was that ending, the blood rain with the house on fire. Mia fighting to survive. David being discount Ash. Eric’s dumbass reading the book, but somehow clutching after all the shit he went trough. Sadly no goofy moments or a single “groovy”, but the camera moment were a nice touch.

This was just straight bullshit in the best way possible. The tiny gang of Ashs taking him down, evil Ash, always getting the girl. I loved it. Also the stop motion and all the prosthetics used are always so cool to see PS. The poster is sick ass

Groovy. So apparently it’s like a reboot, but also the beginning isn’t cannon. Like others mentioned… it’s funnier to believe he brought a second girl to the same cabin. Stupid, ugly, and funny. It was fantastic. I love how the second the person turns there is zero hesitance in killing them.
