A Hidden Life
“Better to suffer injustice than to do it”
A Hidden Life is a quiet and slow movie, but it still hit hard. What stood out most to me the most was how beautiful every shot looked. Every shot of the mountains, the farms, and even the small moments at home felt incredible. The cinematography made everything feel both peaceful and overwhelming at the same time, which fit the story really well. The score was amazing too. It felt emotional without ever trying too hard, and it added so much weight to Franz’s decisions and the feeling of isolation throughout the movie. At times it could get boring, but overall I thought that message was really moving, and the combination of the visuals, music, and themes made the whole film feel unforgettable.
