Conclave
I’ve have always loved movies that dive into topics that are unfamiliar to me because they offer new perspectives that I’ve never heard before. Conclave is a fascinating example of this. I thought it was really cool and realistic how this movie shows that even some of the most morally respected people in the world (like cardinals) act selfishly and it was cool to see the greed of wanting to be pope take over some of them. The music in this was perfect and it does a spectacular job of building tension and adding constant unease to the story. This style of music was perfect because it establishes the seriousness of the situation and creates a sense of foreboding. Ralph Fiennes was amazing of course, and I thought the other characters were strong supporters too and there weren’t many weak spots. I really loved the theme of those who don’t want power are often those most suited for it because it is strongly reflected in the movie and I believe it to be true in real life as well. The ending was underwhelming though
