The Shining

This changed and left out a lot of good stuff from the book but it’s still almost a perfect film with insane music and insane acting. In the book there’s a lot more emotion involved with the characters and you can see Jack’s human side, but it’s cool how Kubrick made this story his own and integrated his style of filmmaking, creating a colder and more unsettling experience that focuses on atmosphere, isolation, and psychological tension rather than the characters emotions.
