Yi Yi

The cinematography in Yi Yi is outstanding. The camera always seems to find the perfect perspective for each scene, making even simple conversations feel meaningful and revealing. The editing is just as impressive, with smooth cuts and transitions that quietly connect the characters’ lives and gives the movie rhythm. The visuals are absolutely stunning as well and they go above and beyond with the settings. Specifically I love the wedding reception place and also the woods that NJ and sherry walked around in i can totally see why this movies gets so much praise, but the plot didn’t grab me in the way I had hoped, so it was difficult for me to become invested in the characters which is a shame because everything else was perfect about his film. Yang Yang was the goat though.
