guilty pleasure film! i can recognize that the script to this film is just HORRIBLE. the first act is pretty solid, and very easy to watch, while the second and third acts feel not as connected and thought out. obsessed never the less. this is what heartstopper forever thought they were doing. nicholas galitzine is SO good in this. all of the cast is pretty good, dispute uma thurmans random country accent. i just love the way nicholas has his sad boy eyes. very very good role for him imo. another movie that is pretty poorly made but i love. in a movie block rn, so this one made me happy to watch movies again. yay. book is better unfortunately

that was probably the most ass thing i’ve ever seen. i only went to this because i needed a filler movie and i thought “i like moana, why not!”. oh boy was i so wrong. this was a 1:1 remake but just so much worse. all the colors were bad, the two leads basically just danced in front of a green screen for 2 hours while cgi animals danced all around them. don’t piss me off. the girl who played moana was very bad imo. her facial expressions were so dull and unimaginative that i just NEED from a disney princess. also her singing was not very good. the rock was whatever, but also i thought he was going to be a lot better than he was. a HUGE disappointment. going to die. anyways that was the biggest waste of 2 hours.

better on the second watch. i want to soak up every bit of this movie in my soul. the score, the staging, the cinematography, the ACTING, every bit of it. olivia wilde stole a piece of my heart and put it on a screen. this story is as moving as it is hilarious. don’t let yourself wallow in misery. create happiness for yourself, and always seek for something better. just because you’re used to something doesn’t mean you should settle!!! period! the acting is just phenomenal. penelope cruz and olivia wilde are such stand outs. the energy they bring to every scene is just so unmatched. still not a huge seth rogan fan, but he was better on second watch! all the foreshadowing moments are just SO good. it should be required to watch this movie twice. please.

guys… i’m sorry please don’t kill me. i honestly wanted to like this so much, and am very disappointed. as a play girl, i am very picky with my musicals, and this just didn’t make the cut. as a movie, this just isn’t it. the direction of the actual proshot is pretty terrible. i can’t suspend my disbelief that this isn’t actually happening, if you show the audience every 5 seconds. the reason why plays work on stage, is because you can block everything else out. i can’t block it out in a movie if that’s half of the screen for it’s entirety. also the cinematography was ROUGH. i just truly never knew where to focus in on, and the whole thing was a blur. the songs felt so disconnected. i couldn’t tell you a single song that was song because they all blend together, which i guess could be a creative choice, but to me just fell super flat and made the story SO confusing. i truly never knew what was happening in any of the songs. i wish this wasn’t an operetta, and had some scenes. i think that would break up the story in a nice way, and make some of the scenes feel more grounded. i unfortunately think this production fell super flat on any connection to human emotions. you can have unrealistic stories be rooted in realism. not doing so just felt like a lazy excuse for some bad writing. this is just my opinion! please don’t kill me hadestown stan’s! they should call me the mayor of haterstown
