Ran

A great film that I feel lucky to have been able to watch. I’ve seen King Lear performed and I enjoyed it, but this brought my appreciation for the source material even higher. It also tremendously increased my appreciation for Kurosawa, which was already extremely high. The characters are written so well in this film, Lady Kaede being a great highlight of that.
