Boundless
To Sir has become one of my favorite directors in the past few years. What a shame I just came to know that it's on Netflix until Someone told me, and it's a no brainer. He is the real legend, and this documentary has explained way better than I could've. Just want to show some love.
Though he started making films with Chinese filmmaking companies, he never abandoned Hong Kong, not the movies, not the culture, and definitely not the young people and our heritage. There've been many people who sold out on Hong Kong, and the reasons are just obvious. Not hate, I'm simply glad he's not one of them. It's complicated, but he really cares about our place. What's more, he's such a humble guy, which is pretty rare among the boomers in Hong Kong.
