Parasite

what an absolutely insane movie. i put this off for an embarrassingly long time for no real reason either, but i’m glad i finally got around to watching it. everything people say about this movie is true, and it’s easily one of the best movies of the 2010s. the dialogue, characterization, setting, camera work, and acting were all incredible to the point i really can’t even find anything that i did not care for in this movie. while the “original” plot (as i call it) was a poor family slowly infiltrating themselves into a rich family’s life, this movie was so much more than that. the gradual build up of showing the wild disparities between the two families lives was executed perfectly and was so intriguing to watch. seeing the father gradually change as he was the one singled out in a negative fashion … ugh like this was just true cinema … i’m amazed still.
