I feel like the movie was average or above average at best. I wanted to watch this film when everyone's been saying that it's one of the best rom-coms in recent times and best rom-com this year, and boy was I so disappointed. The plot is so predictable. All of the rom-coms stories are probably predictable, but this one, i saw right through it. Don't think the chemistry worked out between the lead actors. I felt like there was no nicely written dialogues and situations/scenes which is probably the reason why I didn't feel any chemistry. And dialogue writing is so average. Its corny. Idk why every movie which is either directed by women or has a female lead has this character who just tries to sound very smart and funny( every situation). I hate that, it's so annoying. You don't always have to sound or talk funny or smart. She deliberately tries to use different and smart words or sentences when it can be said in a common and normal way. I hate it. Acting was fine, nothing extraordinary. This was supposed to be a rom-com. I don't think I've laughed at least a single time. Positives are probably acting. They did a good job. And one more thing I didn't understand in this film is the guy who sleeps with our girl for one night and ghosts her. Is the character so dumb. If you're in that kind of position, you ought to expect the girl will definitely come back and talk some shit abt him and call him out on the public. And another thing that I have a neutral opinion about is the fact that they try to push this agenda or propaganda is feminism. As I said before, female directed or lead movie has this element. I mean every or atleast most of it. It pisses me off. Im all for feminism, if there's any need of it, but the fact that they push it into the film when there's no need for it is what pisses me off.
