rereading project hail mary for the millionth time in preparation for the movie. got to grace and rocky talking for the first time and felt like i needed to give this a watch. absolute masterpiece led by adams, renner, and my king forest whitaker. didnt realize on first watch how dark of a tone they set to make you feel impending doom. dark lighting in most scenes, the eerie silence of them walking through the military tents for the first time, etc. that i didnt catch before hit very hard this time. also want to call out their use of (had to google, this was not off dome) On the Nature of Daylight for the score. beautiful piece of music right there.
