Black Swan
Saw some people claiming that this is the "female whiplash". And while I can see where they are coming from I think they're pretty different in concept, the execution is just pretty similar.
While whiplash is about the lengths people will go to for approval or admiration from people they look up to and how that will consume your entire life, this film felt more about how the pursuit of perfection will just end up destroying yourself. It might sound pretty similar, but the theming in this film was alot more about innocence and letting go.
Without spoiling too much, the final scene felt like a perfect way to end this. I like how it is kept open to interpretation aswell, should you take it metaphorically or literally? I'm leaning more towards the metaphorical side tho lol.
