sensational performances and an extremely fun time what more can one ask for
phenomenal... if i watched this as a child i would have either become insufferable or dabbled in lesbianism which i suppose i already have so really nothing has changed
one of the most gorgeous films i have ever seen i was so shocked when i found out it released in 2016?? but tragically i... heh... hated it... two hours long and for what
even though that wasn't the ending they all deserved (everyone they cast a spell on got what was coming to them) i maintain that this was pretty great
yeah so it starts and ends with lesbians what's not to like... even though i did feel the reveal was slightly underwhelming (i know that was the point but it was just really unsatisfying)
lowkey this is like scarier than i thought it would be. those button eyes left a bad taste in my mouth
holy moly the most fun movie ever and definitely a top three castration (!!) scene
might be THE best looking movie of all time! lighting is to die for. special effects, not so much. but i think about that thunderstorm car lighting every day wowwee
so insanely cool i loved the nightmare sequences and that double dance / insane torture scene but unfortunately they lost me in the last few acts (even if the gory bloodfest was pretty fun)
topic disgusted me to my core (FUCK them all) but it lacked a certain something
fucking loved this... what really stuck with me was the look in her eyes as the entire hall lit on fire what a masterpiece
her transformation into the black swan is soooo insane i can only dream of seeing this movie for the first time once again
not only is it disturbing (baby scene.... hahahahahhahaahah) it was also incredibly painful to watch. i get what it was going for but the problem is the way she is treated - for a movie so focused on its message it refuses to let her BREATHE my fucking god
a masterpiece... along some beautiful social commentary too?? (i especially loved the scene at the end mirroring the start) imagine my shock when i found out it was jordan peele who directed this
so fucking interesting and my god the performances (lupita nyong'o....... save me....) yeah peele is a force of nature. probably some of the most unique concepts for modern horror that i've ever seen
i wouldn't say i understood it at all but the visuals and atmosphere were great. enjoyed the scene when she ate through that dude's thigh
what i admire most on rewatch is how every single scene had a purpose and furthered its message like how many films can you honestly say that about
you know it's actually such a cool movie and despite myself i enjoyed the brutality of the infamous cliff scene was but i didn't find the ending scene to be as cathartic as it definitely wanted to be
that ending shot with the sermon mirroring what was said and maxine and pearl's fight in the background - absolute cinema!!! did not expect to enjoy this at all but here i am
the final act is something else dude. on rewatch what really stuck with me was that scene as she tries to put everything back to normal, combing her very dead mother's hair. those mirrored shots are so eerie. extremely well done
i love that we got to see a continuation of maxine's life but there were so many threads unfinished - but really despite that the genius of x and pearl are not hindered.
i can't even begin to express the genius of this movie it's so perfect and meaningful to me and holy shit megan fox and amanda seyfried like come on
why was this lowkey like so fun to watch like i do admit it takes a bit to amp up (although i did love the camp) but yeahh! the plot twist was everything i imagined
the cinematography in this is like actually groundbreaking it is genuinely a modern classic and i predict it will be analysed to death some film teacher (an english teacher too god forbid) out there is salivating at the very thought
genuinely so ahead of its time it feels like something that would be made now?? fantastic and hilarious no one else can do it
definitely not as good as the first but still fun - it mostly just surprises me that they were able to make a sequel and somehow an entire franchise
better than the second in my opinion - a more fun cast (love parker posey), funnier, some cooler kills... horrible downside though (what in the world did they do to gale's beautiful hair)
yess i loved this one! miss ghostface genuinely surprised me this time i loved her (also gale is as fine as ever)
HOLY FUCKING SHIT FUCK EVERYONE FOR KILLING MY GOAT DEWEY but actually this one was like insanely good - i feel like the writing at some points were incredibly trite but despite myself i loved it what can i say
