watched this for the 4k restoration at the ifc center, followed by a heartfelt q&a with todd haynes and julianne moore themselves!! wonderful people with huge hearts and lots of thoughts to convey.. genuinely admired the “chemistry” between them..
the idea surrounding this film is so fundamental it could be applied to the best of times and to the worst of times.. suffering is all around yet so few stop by to understand those screaming every day- kudos to the ones who do, in this case todd haynes- definitely a genius level writing and acting too.. can’t believe this is kind of a debut for both of them-
