DEVO
"We are the fluid in the punk enema bag"
DE-EVOLUTION !!! a band so ahead of its time, innovative idea after another, countless misunderstood messages from the public, nothing but pure, influential, and powerful art they have created. whenever i think about america, i think about consumerism. i have never seen so many types of cereal in my life. this band so uniquely captured the illusion we have of freedom through irony while also presenting the uncomfortable truth. their obsession with the next big idea and getting their message out there regardless of how much hate and negativity they got is so inspiring. mind blowing and dare i say genius. this is politics, this is art, this is experimental, this is cynical, this is punk (but the different kind), this is the future, this is america, this is DEVO !!!
for all the aspiring artists from the midwest :)
