finally ranked the songs. it’s always changing (especially somebody and breakthrough) but. at least for now i can say: breakthrough somebody determinate turn up the music she’s so gone don’t ya wish u were us more than a band here we go livin’ on a high wire and the crowd goes but all of them are a tier songs or higher. best music in a dcom ever. maybe up there for best music in a movie. even if they’re not the same songs from the book, the lyrics match the themes of the movie perfectly, you can tell so much care was put into it. my only complaint is HOW DO YOU HAVE HAYLEY KIYOKO IN A MOVIE ABOUT MUSIC AND SHE BARELY SINGS ALONE???? deserved a solo too. imagine somebody, she’s so gone, and a stella solo to have each girl have her own. I WISH

this movie is just perfect. amazing songs, found family troupe, screen time focusing on each of the character’s struggles, the best characters Ever, talented actors and performers… a masterpiece i’ve watched this so many times, but every time i still find more to love. the way wen moves away from the rest of the group when the police pulls up in the rain… he is so funny. ultimate boyfailure. him and stella are HIGHLY underrated as a friendship, despite the amount of scenes they get. charlie and olivia’s little interactions in songs are also adorable and i wish we saw more. each individual dynamic is so important to me !!! that’s family !!!!! i still wish scott didn’t join the band at the end. not only does it ruin the entire point of the movie, since it was fate that the five of them were in detention together, but it just makes absolutely no sense. thank you for helping us one time. it definitely makes up for you being terrible the entire movie and cheating on your girlfriend!!! i hate that mo takes him back. i love her development of finding her worth through her own passions and friendships, not through some boy, and the ending just. makes it feel weak. also, Yes i love mo and charlie together. i’m biased from the book, but i wish they left it open ended or implied they were together instead. i know they didn’t because of his age at the time, but i wish they would’ve worked around it instead of changing the ending. scott is the worst part about this as a movie and an adaptation i get emotional every time i watch this movie. the book does do it better, but the way people resonate with lemonade mouth and start to feel seen by their music really gets to me. i love that stella wanted to create something so that she could be heard, but through the band, they help countless others feel heard as well. just a beautiful story. sometimes i genuinely think about getting “be heard, be strong, be proud” as a tattoo or something. it just means so much to me <3 i love you lemonade mouth !!!!!!!!!!!

i’m debating giving this a 5/5. is it objectively perfect? maybe not, but i enjoy it SO much. every rewatch has me loving this more and more. for how small of a budget they had, this movie is insanely good. katie’s acting when possessed alone is so unsettling. i’m definitely biased, since i love the way these kinds of movies build tension, but i can’t get over how well-made this is on a rewatch. the way they’ll subtly show you a certain room or object in a couple scenes before it becomes part of the action, how you can see their aggression towards each other (negative energy!!) is making the haunting worse, like i’m obsessed with the writing and little details of this. worst part of this movie is micah Easily

first thought leaving the theater was that i can’t wait until i can watch this with headphones
