the whole time I was expecting something big but that’s not the point of the movie. it’s the incoherency of it all that matters because sophies only a kid she doesn’t understand his struggles between depression and him trying hiding her from it. the last scene didn’t make sense but as I think through it it does. sophies no longer there, he put the camera away, and then committed. the “rave” was shown all throughout the film in flashes which brought out the constant deep dark thoughts he was having, but as he approaches the rave at the end it shows that he’s given in and that’s when he killed himself.
