Flipped
Usaually I only write joke reviews on movies, but this movie is seriously so good, I can't think of one joke that'd would be good enough for it. This is such a beautiful romance, and out of all the romances I've seen before, this one is surely the best of them. You get both Juli and Bryce's perspective, and I think that's what really makes it special. Especially when Bryce apologizes to Juli when she was working on the yard, in Bryces perspective it was an oppurtunity to talk to her, but in Juli's perspective, she saw it as a way for him to clear his guilt. Though he only admits it over halfway through the movie, you can kind of tell he liked her all along. The way he looked when she talked about the sycamore tree was very telling in itself. At the end of the movie, he tries to kiss Juli in front of their whole class. Juli runs from him (a pretty reasonable action considering he was humilating her) and rides quickly on her bicycle home. The next 2 days Bryce desperately tries to contact her, then stops. Juli looks outside her yard, which she had worked so hard on just to see Bryce ruining it by digging a hole. She complains frankly to her father who keeps repeating "I let him.". She then turns around to see he's gone. She keeps looking outside, when he comes back into frame, holding a small ungrown sycamore tree, which he then plants into the hole in her yard. Now if that isn't the cutest, and most romantic thing ever, I don't know what is. The tree that she cried over for 2 whole weeks after being cut down, being held by a boy who had broken her heart countless times, seemingly like he didn't care, when all he did was. 'She fell first, but he fell harder' Immediate 5 stars and this movie earns a place in my top 4.
