Sometimes after a long shift you just have to watch a D-Com that was also your plane movie when you were 10

My favorite film ever always has been probably always will be seeing this in theaters this year genuinely is going to make me sob

Well what a phenomenal first act. We started so so sooo strong, then it was kinda downward from there. I’ll start with the good things, getting a new cinematographer great move. It genuinely looked great. The soundtrack was also really really good. I’ll be honest I cried a few times too. The first act barely (and I mean this as a compliment) felt like a marvel movie it was *really *good, after that I feel like we started to lose the plot a little. Seeing Peter and MJ hurt in more ways than I could’ve even imagine “I don’t even know you” sent daggers through my heart. I think I have a bit of an issue with the writing here I thought it felt very telling you what was about to happen before it did and not just subtle foreshadowing it came off a little too strong. I think this movie has a lot of flaws but it’s probably my favorite of Tom’s. It was a very enjoyable watch and I can tell it’s one I’ll watch fairly frequently.

Every time I rewatch these movies all I can think is “wow I wish this wasn’t connected to the greater MCU”
