Thirteen

This movie is so raw. Everything about it is so unpolished in a good way. The grain of the film and the color leave the film distorted in an interesting way. The framing of characters is super interesting, a lot of shots playing with the relationship between the foreground and background which adds a lot. The ending leaves you with a sick pit in your stomach that almost seems hopeful.
