Sicario

Not only did Denis Villeneuve come in with a goal and completely crush it, he did it in a touching way. I present you Sicario starring Emily Blunt. Sicario wasn’t just an ordinary action film, at least to me. With grasping cinematography and thrilling (and sentimental at times) music score, this film was destined to be near, or some may ultimately say, perfect.  While keeping the tension between Kate and Alejandro at view to the audience, Denis Villeneuve left a thought provoking touch on a specific audience. that audience being the oblivious to the corruption within government/state authority/cartels in troubled countries, such as Mexico in Sicario. To add on, Emily Blunt, to no surprise, took away the spotlight with her out of reach act. From questioning her surroundings with a gun to crying and fighting for her life, this was expected of Emily but man does she blow my mind each time.  Very excited to watch more Denis Villeneuve films!
