Collatz conjecture mentioned!!! 🔥💯🗣️ Not only that, the mathematical problem is a metaphor for the plot of the movie. Denis you fucking genius
The mathematics you've studied until now have sought to provide clear and definitive answers to clear and definitive problems. Now you are embarking on a new adventure. You will face insoluble problems that will lead to other, equally insoluble problems. Friends will insist that the object of your toil is futile. You'll have no way of defending yourself. For the problems will be of mind-boggling complexity. Welcome to pure mathematics, and the realm of solitude.
As a math student I felt this in my bones lmao. Thank you Denis for making me feel seen 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I also liked this quote a lot:
Childhood is like a knife stuck in your throat. It can't be easily removed.
Now for my actual review of the movie: it's an absurdly good –though emotionally quite heavy– movie about the futility of war/violence that combines the genres of war, drama and mystery into one. On the one hand I want to give it a 10 because it was one of the most moving, mindblowing, thrilling, shocking, brutal and captivating movies I have seen recently, and maybe ever. However, there is unfortunately a problem due to which I can't quite give it the GOATED status.
There are so many 10/10 shots and scenes, it is absurd: the opening scene (seeing someone else go bald too for the first time always gets me 🥹 just kidding (though not really)); the bus scene, the prison scene, and the hospital visit scene were all so incredibly good... I definitely won't forget those, they are among the absolute best scenes I have ever seen... Denis you are a fucking legend 🫡
What I don't like however,
