Michael
Had a great time at the cinema, this film makes you feel good and nostalgic about Michael even though I wasn't even alive for any of this.
The movie lacks depth regarding his personal relationships. The brothers barely talk with him through the film, and the pacing is just not good. Nevertheless, the music is obviously great and it has a bunch of sad, dramatic and funny moments. So I'll give it that.
I would've loved to see more of quincy Jones, the tough relationship that he had with his brothers during the pinnacle years of the Jackson 5, maybe some of his love interests and where the inspiration from his songs came from. It ended up being a little superficial.
Even though this is kind of a negative review, by all means go watch it, and tell your family and friends to go watch it. I think it's a great way to reconnect with the king of pop as an artist, and his music that we love so much. And if anyone of your family or friends are fans of Michael (like every normal human being should be) then I'm sure they'll have a great time listening to the music and learning a bit about his life.
P.S. Jaafar Jackson has an absolutely killer performance.
