Challengers

It’s still early in the year and I’m already making this a top 3 for me this year. Never in my life did I think tennis could be so sexy but it works and it works so well. The tension between every character, the score, and the way this movie is shot is amazing and makes so much sense. There’s not a single slow minute in this movie and every character really brings their A game.  Miss Zendaya the woman you are. It was such a pleasure to see Zendaya finally in an adult role (AND WITH A KID) and play a character you’re 100% not supposed to root for but can’t help be so attracted to her every move and facial expression on screen. Josh and Mike really pull their punches as well, their chemistry with each other on screen is one of a kind it’s amazing to watch. I’m sure a handful of people will have a lot to say about how many cuts and “odd” shots are in this film but I think that’s the point. It really increases the tension across the board.  I’m a Patrick/Tashi apologist!
