Arrival

I saw this movie when I was younger and didn’t really understand it or see the meaning behind it. But watching it again now, I think I’ve seen one of the best sci-fi movies ever made. The way it captures human nature — how we’re willing to accept pain just to experience happiness — feels so profound and real. The score and cinematography are absolutely top-tier, and Amy Adams is truly a generational talent. This movie makes me anxious, depressed, and sad… but in the best possible way.
