top 4 are my recent favourites, not my all time favourites ————— **"I know it was you, Fredo. You broke my heart. You broke my heart!"** **“So far, so good… so far, so good… The important thing isn’t the fall, it’s the landing.”** ***—————*** My older reviews aren’t the greatest and quite corny so don’t take them as my current opinion.

**9.4** * “It’s just like Sonny said it would be. Nobody cares.” “The saddest thing in life is wasted potential.”* Trying to wipe off as much films as I can off my watchlist and I am yet again ashamed that this was kept in my watchlist for this long. The storyline in this film was incredible and insane and just so many things that I can’t fit it into a single review. The acting from Lillo Brancato was astonishing (as I believe that this was his debut film - I’m probably wrong on that), performed with emotion and the fact that he was able to adopt Calogero’s character so well. Robert De Niro did well in this film, in particular the scene where he scolds Calogero and reminds him of the working man’s determination rather than them all being suckers. The soundtrack used for when Calogero and Jane were together was nice - I saw it as quite a great fit for the two. Out of everything however, I loved Sonny’s character. The lines, his style; you just have to see it to know what I’m talking about. Additionally, the pacing throughout the film was balanced as I never felt like turning it off. The first impressions that I am getting from starting to make my watchlist empty (which will likely never happen) are great because of these films and frankly, I cannot wait for the next.
