ted
I don't know why, but one day I must've thought that growing up meant that I suddenly couldn't possibly enjoy Seth Macfarlane's work anymore despite the fact I used to watch Family Guy religiously as a kid and saw the first Ted film an obscene amount of times when it came out because I had no faith in this before I saw clips of it all over TikTok. But man, I'm sorry Seth buddy I'll never doubt you again, this was absolutely fucking hilarious and I don't think I went a single episode without laughing so hard my stomach hurt. In fact, not only did I find this funnier than both movies combined within the first 10 minutes of the first episode, but this could well be the funniest thing he's done to date full stop and I'd absolutely take another season or 2.
I didn't have being back in my Macfarlane phase on my 2024 bingo card, but Goddammit I think I may just go and binge watch some Family Guy right now. I feel so youthful again and everything just seems so right with the world.
Oh, and for all you cinephilés out there who are turning your noses up at the idea of such lowest common denominator humour, episode 4 has the greatest 400 Blows joke you will ever see, so it even has you guys covered.
