i really love this episode, its so good and so visually pleasing. there is so much i can say about it, so many parts i love. you can really feel louis distress and anger as his life and business is crashing down around him. his mother sees the devil in him, his nieces call him a ghost, his family is terrified of him. the music and pacing amplifies his distress. i especially like the "party" scene with the soldiers, even when louis was pissed and hauling lestat away from the piano, he was still gentle with him. the scene where he confronts (and murders) fenwick is so great, specially when louis gets shot, doesn't flinch, and calmly says he'll let fenwick reload. its so perfect. this whole episode is so perfect. other notes: daniel looked sooo good this episode…. lestat opening the relationship and immediately losing his mind over said open relationship is so funny and so unfortunately on brand.

“be all the beautiful things you are, and be them without apology” this episode is the most beautiful introduction to a show i have ever seen. it’s breathtaking. i watched the whole show earlier this month for the first time, but it’s too good i had to rewatch it.
