Stand by Me

fuck ass movie making me feel nostalgic for a childhood i never even had (my childhood was terrible). i don’t know how to say this, but it felt like this movie was unscripted and its just boys messing around trying to find a dead body. but not just that there are heavier moments like when they talk about their futures, it hits me harder than it should’ve. also the bittersweet ending.. i definitely did not expect that. it admits that most childhood friendships don't last forever, but that doesn't make them any less important.
