i don't think you're supposed to fully understand it. nevertheless it looks insane, i loved the shadows, in the streets, in the windows. her expressions were clear yet so blank and hollow. one of my favorite scenes was the one with the professor in the bar, i know there's not much action to highlight but it felt so dark despite that beautiful song playing in the background, everything felt so tense and peaceful at the same time. the soundtrack was outstanding pretty much throughout the entire movie, so sinister. i know this is a silly and small detail but i liked that they don't use the word "vampires" to describe what they are. they never say it, and it makes everything seem more dangerous, weird and morbid. might rewatch it in a while, i definitely enjoyed it

got scared when i realized her bf was not actually george !! i've gotta say i'm so impressed by this side of charli and i've prob spent a lot of time just stalking her letterboxd and adding every weird movie that i found to my watchlist. i'm excited to see more of her work, i really think she deserves more recognition in this area too i also can't get that first polish song out of my head, so romantic and so mesmerizing. i've been really into poland lately since i'm moving there for nine months and from what i've seen in some movies, the atmosphere is so different from what i'm used to, the streets are beautiful and i feel like every single corner is unique in some way. warsaw seems so interesting, "a real pain" also showed me another glimpse of the city and i'm sure i'll be visiting more than once
