this was one of my fav movies ever as a kid

THIS WAS AMAZINGGGG

watched this movie for a class im taking, i really enjoyed it and we even got to speak with the director, cinematographer, and lead actress afterwards. i absolutely loved the cinematography and the sound design, even the story itself is good and bittersweet, dives into the shit we go through in this country pretty much every day of our lives, but i do have some thoughts about it. her getting pregnant, telling him she doesnt want to bring a child into a world like this, and then cutting off to a few years later showing their daughter a bit grown, kind of threw me off a bit if im being honest even if i do understand why it happened also i dont know how to explain it clearly but the ending felt kind of rushed to me in a way? the director did mention that he likes his endings to be ambiguous/not have a clear ending so its up to our interpretation but i still think it was lacking in a few things other than that i really enjoyed it. one of the things i love about lebanese movies is that they dont hold back on the vulgar language and they barely censor anything as we have a huge problem with censorship in the arab world (this isnt to say there is no censorship at all in lebanese cinemas) and im so glad we got the opportunity to speak with some of the crew, i love being an art major i definitely need to watch it again when im not in a cramped uni auditorium
