Signs

What I find very interesting is that Unbreakable is a film that while excellent the whole way through, shines most in the absolutely unforgettable ending which outshines the rest of the movie completely. Signs, on the other hand, has such a brilliant second act and pre-climax that as great as the ending is it kinda gets outshined by that dinner scene. Also, I loved how Graham kinda goes through the stages of grief over the course of the movie(First he denies the idea of the aliens, then he tries to take out his anger at god in the dinner scene, then he tries to bargain with god during the basement scene, and yet instead of depression or acceptance, we see him truly commit to his faith and not give up hope, because while yes, maybe colleen is gone, Morgan, Bo and Merrill are still there, and the whole faith message really shines through there.)
